As the new staff leaders of MRCA, we'd like to express our sincere gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to serve you as a member of MRCA.
Over the past 90 days, our team has been working closely with the MRCA Board of Directors behind the scenes in preparation to lead MRCA into the exciting future that lies ahead.
While we have a network of more than 190 experienced association management professionals working behind the scenes, we'd like to introduce ourselves as some of the key MRCA staff who are here to serve the association. We will be responsible for leading the strategic initiatives, and overseeing programs and the day-to-day operations of MRCA.
New MRCA Staff:
Tom Drake, Executive Director
I come to MRCA with several years of experience as a trade association executive having served as President and CEO of the North American Retail Dealers Association (NARDA) and Executive Director of L3, a global organization of business leaders.
In my role as Executive Director of MRCA, I will work closely with the MRCA Board of Directors to help guide the strategic initiatives of the association and with the staff on the operations of the association.
Lindsey Lozmack, Manager of Operations
I joined AMC in January 2007, bringing with me several years of experience working for an advertising agency and in field sales with Johnson & Johnson. In my time at AMC I have served as a leader on the Sales and Marketing team for two years, managing exhibit, sponsorship and advertising sales for an 8,500-member trade association and have also led several company-wide task forces and strategic initiatives in the areas of process improvement and best practice implementation.
My role with MRCA will be to manage the day-to-day operations including planning the national and regional conferences, marketing and communications, affiliate relations, and serving as liaison to the Marketing Committee.
Daniel Weinstock, Manager of Education
My career began working for Skidmore Owings and Merrill and other architectural firms. Among other associations, I have worked with the Metal Construction Association (MCA) as the liaison with their technical and code advisors.
I am looking forward to serving as the staff liaison to the MRCA Technical & Research and Events Committees. I will also be responsible for the development and management of educational programs at the national and regional conferences.
Peggy Doherty, Manager of Membership Services
I have been at AMC for more than five years working as an account manager for several associations. Prior to joining AMC, I worked in the financial services industry for 15 years in marketing and advertising.
My role at MRCA will be to manage all aspects of member services including member recruitment, engagement, and retention.
Chris Schroll, Sales Manager
I have a degree in marketing. While in college, I supported myself by spending 2 summers working for a local roofing company. I translated the work ethic I earned from hot mopping a roof in August into a drive and determination that still resounds with me today.
I come to MRCA with over 13 years of sales experience, the last 6 with the Association Management Company (AMC). During my time with AMC, I have been a top performer in selling advertising, exhibits, and sponsorship for a variety of associations. My role for MRCA will be managing advertising sales for Midwest Roofer and Roofwatch and focusing on growing industry participation through exhibit and sponsorship sales at the national and regional conferences.
