The ELITE Roofing Contractor Program works in conjunction with the MRCA Safety Program Awards.  You can now access these two programs in one online application!

Active MRCA-member companies with a well documented safety and risk-management programs are strongly encouraged to apply.  Once your application is completed, your safety plan will be reviewed by MRCA Legal Counsel, Gary Auman. All member companies that submit applications will receive a detailed written critique of their safety program.  Every company that submits their Safety Awards/ELITE Contractor Program application will be graded and awarded at one of the following levels:

  • Platinum
  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Bronze
  • Participant

To become an ELITE Contractor, a firm must earn a Bronze or higher award on their safety program review and meet additional criteria such as being registered or licensed in the jurisdictions in which they perform work, being OSHA Compliant, meeting state insurance, bonding, and workers compensation requirements and they also have to complete eight hours of industry-related continuing education.  These requirements are explained in detail within the application.

Those who qualify for ELITE Contractor status will be recognized at the MRCA Conference and Expo at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska October 24th - 26th. 

The purpose of the MRCA Elite Roofing Contractor Program is to encourage and recognize MRCA Member roofing contractors who strive to maintain excellence in areas of business management, technical knowledge, and safety practices.  MRCA Elite Contractor Certification is valid for one year and must be renewed annually. MRCA reserves the right to amend the criteria on an annual basis for continuous program improvement.

Applicants will submit their state license, where applicable, insurance coverage information, and proof of continuing education for review by the MRCA Business Management Committee and participate in the MRCA Safety Awards Program to qualify.  Applicants must also sign the MRCA ELITE Roofing Contractor Code of Ethics.  

Branch members must apply separately for individual recognition. This review is intended to distinguish roofing contractors who are making an extra effort to be the best in their market. 

The MRCA ELITE Roofing Contractor Program will provide approved contractors with a stand out profile on the MRCA Website along with a marketing kit to help promote the companies in the program.  MRCA will market this designation to general contractors, construction managers, consultants, designers and owners to raise awareness of the meaning of the program’s distinction.   The MRCA Elite Roofing Contractor Program hopes to raise the bar of professionalism in the roofing industry and provide Elite Members with valuable tools to market their business.
